Crowdfunding for STARDROP is back online

Way back in May, I had the pleasure of interviewing Joure Visser – the creator of STARDROP, after I’d contributed to its Kickstarter campaign and played the demo that was available. Unfortunately, the Kickstarter campaign was unsuccessful – however that did not stop Joure from pulling himself up and continuing with his journey to create a game from the very start and it would seem that his dedication is starting to pay off. Before I continue, check out the newest pre-release teaser trailer for STARDROP below:

Joure reached out to me today to let me know how things are progressing and he seems quietly hopeful that STARDROP will get a full release, saying:

“I’m not sure how soon it is, I am still in talks with a few third parties, but I’ll keep the community in the loop if anything changes.”

Due to working on this game with limited resources and under his circumstances, I’d say that STARDROP represents exactly what you’d expect a labor of love to look like. Joure has however set up a new personal crowdfunding campaign – the details of which can be found here – http://jourev.wixsite.com/stardropgame/sci. I really cannot fault Joure’s dedication to this game, it’s on another level which should definitely be commended.

“Being such a small indie is hard these days, getting tougher to get noticed. But I can’t rest till I’ve concluded the story.”

I would seriously recommend giving this game a try (a demo is available through the crowdfunding link) and pledging your support if you feel you can or indeed should! I’ve been lucky enough to secure a download for the full first chapter of the game, and will be playing it very soon to give some fuller impressions.
