Fallout 4 console mods have been detailed

At E3 2015 Bethesda made a massive announcement, that they would be supporting mods on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 for their smash hit game Fallout 4. At the time of the announcement none of us knew how mods would be handled on the console versions of the game.

Bethesda hosted a live stream which showed off some of the mods that are capable of running on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 along with revealing a lot of new details that were unclear to us before.

The first of the many new big details that came from this live stream was that mods on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 would have a size limit of 2GB, and that if you ever fill that space up you could simply remove the mod from your console to free up more space for other mods.

Bethesda also made it clear that you can not earn any achievements from the mods that you download.

Bethesda has stated that mods that include any of the DLC for Fallout 4 will require you to own that specific piece of DLC, and if you do not own that piece of DLC you will not be able to use the mod.

Bethesda has confirmed that the mod system will have a helpful feature and that is it will save your game right before you start using a mod and it will create two save files, one with the mod and one without it, so just in case your game crashes with the mod that you are using you can load before you started using the mod.

Fallout 4 mods are set to release on the Xbox One on May 31st and are due to land on the PlayStation 4 sometime in June.
