Are you a Sonic fan looking for something to hold you over until the next installment is released in 2017? If so, you may want to take a look at fan made Sonic Utopia.
Sonic Utopia was developed by fans, Mr Lange, Murasaki Fox and Tpot and the first version of the game is available for download now! The developers say that almost everything in the game has been built up and created from scratch including the engine the game runs on.
Sonic Utopia is a 3D sonic game with that nostalgic and classic Sonic feel from the level design to the remixed Green Hill Zone music. Take a look at the trailer yourself:
As a Sonic fan, what appealed to me was the vibrant colors and sound effects. The rings, jumping and spinning all sound like the game I remember as a kid. If you’d like to download the game and try it you can from this dropbox link. Be warned though that when I tried it, there was too much traffic and I was unable to download. I guess Sonic fans are clamoring for something new from the blue hedgehog after all as demand at the time of the writing as brought down the site.
