For Honor to get Free Future Content

No costs for additional battlefields

Closed Beta date

With rising game development cost, it’s commonplace for developers and publishers to charge more for additional content. For Honor is ditching this model, however, as it has been confirmed that any additional maps or modes released for the game will be totally free. According to Eurogamer, game director Damien Kieken stated at a presentation that “We don’t want to split the community. So everything that’s matchmade (including) new modes and new maps, will be given for free to the players. We’ll also have other free content. We are a big team supporting the game after launch.”

The lack of paid DLC or a season pass is definitely an enticement for many players. The game will launch with 12 maps, so additional maps added being completely free will help make sure no one picking up For Honor after launch feels left behind in any way. Promising an intriguing world, epic action and massive war-torn lands, For Honor releases February 14, 2017 on Xbox One, PS4, PC.
