Former Konami Europe President now President of Kojima Productions

Now that Hideo Kojima has fully separated from Konami and formed his own studio, it seems that things are back to business as usual over at Kojima Productions with a new company president.

Shinji Marano, ex-president of Konami Europe, left Konami after 11 years back in March and has now joined the Kojima team as the company’s new president. He will oversee the development teams and ensure that the company’s focus is centralized and maintained with each project.

With Death Stranding, Marano and Kojima Productions will release their first game in a hopefully lost list of games in the nearby future.

Do you think this is a good hire? Is Konami the sinking ship that many are portraying it as or do you think it’s more of a company that is just figuring itself out? Let us know in the comments!
