We’ve known for some time now that several Halo games were coming to backwards compatibility. Well, today, September 21, 2017, they’ve finally arrived. This is great news for anyone who still enjoys playing the Xbox 360 versions of these titles however doesn’t have access to an Xbox 360 console.

The new games added to the list today are:
  • Halo 3
  • Halo 3: ODST
  • Halo 4
  • Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition (disc-only at the moment)

    That’s cool. Not sure why anyone with an XB1 wouldn’t have H:MCC though (superior versions), but still cool support none the less.

    – Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection
    – FEAR trilogy
    – Tomb Raider Anniversary
    – Tomb Raider Legend
    – Trials Evolution
    – TMNT: 1989 Arcade
    – SSF2: Turbo HD Remix

    Why wouldn’t they add Halo 2 in this obviously perfectly timed announcement? They said select original Xbox games will be BC on XB1……Halo 2 seems like a pretty PRIME candidate for showcasing their new promise. Must not be ready yet…
