Halo 5 takes the stage at E3 2015 and looks stunning!

Bonnie Ross from 343 Industries kicked off Microsoft’s off E3 with a megaton!

Halo 5 Guardians story gameplay and multiplayer footage was revealed in all it’s visual, heart pumping glory. The E3 footage demoed some very intense story gameplay from Halo 5.

Interestingly the footage was specifically of Spartan Locke and not the Master Chief who we are yet to see in this new iteration to the Halo franchise. In an interesting new twist for the franchise, 4 player drop in, drop out co-op is introduced as you get to control two team based squads. One aligned to Master Chief and one with Spartan Locke. In what appears to be a “catch me if you can scenario” Spartan Locke’s role is to essentially hunt down the Chief.

Also showcased was the new WARZONE mode. Described in the trailer as a “player versus everything experience”. With up to 24 players, AI adversaries, new vehicles (one of which look distinctly like a mech), WARZONE was described by 343’s Josh Holme’s as a “giant leap” for Halo multiplayer, where “everything is possible”

Halo 5 Guardians launches exclusively for Xbox One on October 27th this year.
