Head of mobile games at Electronic Arts leaves the company after 20 years

Filed at the Securities and Exchange Commission is a notice that Executive Vice President for mobile games at Electronic Arts (EA), Frank Gibeau, has left the company after 20 years on the job.

Gibeau’s has released a statement about exactly why he has decided to make this transition, especially after so long:

“It’s been a really great ride, the best job ever, jam-packed with incredible life experiences and filled with many great friends. After an incredible 20 year career, I’ve accomplished all that I could have imagined and more. I’m very proud of all the great games that I had a chance to work on. I thank EA for the opportunity and wish them the very best. I am excited to explore my next challenge.”

With 20 years at the same company, it will certainly be interesting to see exactly where Gibeau goes now. Wherever it is, he’s sure to bring quite a bit of experience with him. So who will fill such big shoes and take over the mobile games at Electronic Arts ? We will make sure to let you know when that is announced.
