Ninja Theory have announced via a video update that their hotly anticipated action game, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, has been delayed and will now be releasing sometime in 2017. Themed around Celtic mythology, Hellblade features a surreal, dark aesthetic and loads of hectic combat against monstrous foes wielding a delectable variety of sharp implements.

Giving gamers some insight into how the developers work on each facet of the game is a smart way to allay any disappointment fans may feel due to the delay and that’s exactly What Ninja Theory are doing here. The video showcases many members of the team doing their thing in an effort to improve the experience for players when it does finally launch. If past projects from the studio are anything to go by, Hellblade will boast an engrossing narrative packed with great characters and fun, frenetic fighting!
Keep an eye out for Hellblade: Sanua’s Sacrifice on PlayStation 4 and PC sometime in 2017.
