The kickstarter is now live for the upcoming FPS – Diabotical

GD Studio has launched their Kickstarter campaign for the hotly anticipated arena first-person shooter Diabotical today. Developed by former Quake and e-Sport professionals, Diabotical promises to go back to the old school classic generation of FPS with this fast-paced multiplayer arena FPS set in a colorful robot universe. Amazingly the game has 986 backers already and is constantly increasing with $27,619 of the $110,000 goal reached already with 31 days left to go.

At launch of the kickstarter GD Studio promised that Diabotical will feature 10 game modes including Team Death Match, Capture the Flag, Duel and Wingbot (Co-Op 2v2). Another big promise to fans is that there will be “Lots and Lots of maps”, lets hope that they are true to their word as some AAA titles that have launched in the past year have been criticized for their lack of content.

In-game purchases will be included in Diabotical but are purely cosmetic and all customization options can be earned in-game, with skins, stickers, voice chips, animations, taunts and more all available for players to add their own personality to their robot.

No release window has been quoted but around 10-12 months of development is left for the game and it will launch for PC via Steam for around $10-$15.
