Knack 2 Announced with Action Filled Trailer

It certainly has a Knack for it

Knack is officially getting a sequel! Yep, the launch title for PS4, where the series debuted, is coming back.

If you’re not sure what Knack is, well here you go: Knack is a living humanoid organism that consists of Relics; a large central Relic is always surrounded by a varying amount of smaller Relics which are collected through the world. Knack utilizes crystal relic powers, jumping, dodging, stealth and punching, in order to progress through the colorful environments, which are populated with enemies.

Some people may question why the original Knack is getting a sequel. For many, it didn’t wow. Many thought it was over with much too quickly and didn’t warrant the full price of a standard release title. I’m all for second chances, if the developers at Sony Interactive Entertainment can take the feedback and the constructive criticism, then they have a real opportunity to carve a strong path for the sequel.

One of the cool things from the trailer I noticed was what seems to be a fully fledged co-op mode, rather than a two player local where the combination of Knack is played by two people, there looks to be two “Knacks”. There also seems to be a fair bit of variety in terms of gameplay and the locations, which is always good (and I’m a sucker for a snow world).
