Mafia III receives an update to un-cap frame-rate from 30FPS to 60FPS and beyond on PC

With a general positive reaction from gamers at their experience with the recently released installment in the Mafia franchise – Mafia III, one rather consistent complaint was that the frame-rate was capped at 30 FPS for PC gamers. Hangar 13 have taken that feedback on board and have been hard at work behind the scenes to rectify this situation.

A patch has now been rolled out that removes that cap and allows PC gamers to choose between 30, 60 and well beyond that, FPS settings. That’s not all you can look forward too when you launch Mafia III next time, the patch also includes changes to keyboard mapping which should improve your overall experience proving more options, however any settings that you have in place now will be erased once you install the patch so make sure you remember to go back in and set them all back up again.

Once you have received your update head the display in the in-game menu and this is where you can change your FPS settings, however please ensure you check the specs of your rig to ensure you are selecting the right settings.
