Microsoft makes a change to Xbox Play Anywhere statement

At this year’s E3, Microsoft announced a great feature that would allow Xbox games to be played on PC via the Windows Store.

Originally, Yusuf Mehdi was quoted saying: “Every new title published from Microsoft Studios will support Xbox Play Anywhere and will be easily accessible in the Windows Store.”

The revised statement reads: “Every new title published from Microsoft Studios that we showed onstage at E3 this year will support Xbox Play Anywhere and will be easily accessible in the Windows Store.”

It’s unclear if this means that there may be a change in the Xbox Play Anywhere program that might include other publishers. It does confirm that the titles announced at E3 will in fact be compatible with the Xbox Play Anywhere program.

In case you missed it, these titles include: Forza Horizon 3, Scalebound, Sea of Thieves, Halo Wars 2, Recore and Gears of War 4.
