New Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Trailer is Live and Live-Action

"Screw it, let's go to space!"

Can you believe we are just over a week away from a brand new Call of Duty game?

Despite how excited, or not, you might be for Infinity Ward’s newest effort, it’s hard to ignore the behemoth that is the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare machine.

It might just get a bit harder now a new live action trailer has been released. The trailer, which can be found on YouTube, is quite a fun satirical trailer on the plight of humanity in 2016.

Europe leaves E.U.” cries one headline, “2016: Worst Year in History” discovers one member of the public and a news story about a journalist punching the president in the face!

But what’s the solution I hear you all cry?

Go to space of course!!!

The trailer definitely paints a fun picture of the new Call of Duty and that feels right to me, in a sense. Games should be fun and should be a form of escapism. This trailer is essentially encouraging you to escape from reality for a bit. That’s certainly no bad thing, the world could be a better place, for sure.

The trailer is conflicting for me in a way, where it seems to showcase a lot of the different tactics you can employ in the game, the tone that is set seems…off. Warfare isn’t fun and although we have fun experiencing it (via a variety of media) and this trailer is clearly directed towards the multiplayer aspect of the game (in my eyes anyway), it seems perhaps, too lighthearted?

I’m not particularly sold on Infinite Warfare if I’m honest, especially since Battlefield 1 has done such an amazing job with its recreation of World War One. Besides, Titanfall 2 is more interesting to me in terms of futuristic shooters.

Either way, this trailer hasn’t sold me the game, but it is a fun trailer.
