New Shenmue 3 screenshots revealed as PC pre-orders begin

Shenmue III delayed

Shenmue 3 continues to gather momentum as it rolls inexorably towards a projected December 2017 release date, despite having been in production since mid 2015. Backers of the super popular campaign to bring Ryu and his pals back have received an update on development from game studio, Ys Net, and a personal message of assurance from Yu Suzuki himself. Here’s what he had to say:

“I have been completely absorbed in development Shenmue III recently, and often stay at the studio throughout the night to make it the best game possible. My life has become Shenmue both day and night, and I’m happy.”

A trio of amazing screenshots is also included with the update which also goes on to inform backers that the ability to pre-order the PC version has been added to the Shenmue 3 site. All revenue from sales of the game are being applied to reaching a plethora of stretch goals that are still pending, most of which are concerned with adding extra content for players to experience when Shenmue 3 finally launches.
