Next week, let’s explore the Darkest Dungeon

Months after its PC debut, its is coming next week on Sony's consoles

Last January, an independent development studio called Red Hook Studios launched a roguelike dungeon crawling game called Darkest Dungeon on PC, which took the world by surprise and people from Steam to Metacritic really appreciated it.

A console version was supposed to be released at the same time as its PC counterpart, but was unfortunately delayed…well the wait is finally over.

The game will release next week on PlayStation 4 and Vita, with cross buy and cross save features. In a post on the Official PlayStation Blog, the studio announced a couple of things that will be change with the console version:

  • At the beginning of the game, the player will start with 2 magical artifacts called trinkets.
  • There will be new trinkets available.
  • The four main dungeons have been embellished.
  • There will be a new Town Event called “A Day Long Awaited”.
  • There will be a Platinum trophy, for those trophy hunters!

It was also announced that during the first 2 weeks, the game will be offered with a 20% off discount for all PlayStation Plus members.

In the meantime, here is the official PlayStation launch trailer.

I’ve heard a LOT of good things about this game, and now I can’t wait to play it on my PS4-Vita. Will you be playing this ? Are you excited for this game ? Let us know in the comments and forums.
