Executive Producer of Fairly Odd Parents possibly working on a Castlevania TV show

Castlevania TV show
*Editor’s note: It was incorrectly written that Fred Seibert was the creator of Fairly Odd Parents and Danny Phantom. Butch Hartman is the creator of both these shows. Article modified to identify Fred Seibert as the Executive Producer for Fairly Odd Parents.

It would appear that the Executive Producer of Fairly Odd Parents, Fred Seibert is making quite the change in content. Recently, Seibert stated that he’s working adapting a particular video game into TV show format with a given hint that it’s “one of the most world-famous video games of the last 30 years.” He also stated that he’s had the rights for upwards of twelve years, but he decided not to officially share what game series would be adapted.

This goes along with 2015 quotes from Adi Shankar (producer of that gritty Power Rangers short film) that mention a desire to make a “super-violent” anime-like series that would take inspiration from Castlevania. Shankar mentioned that he was working with Frederator Studios, who had acquired the rights to Castlevania several years ago, with Shankar stating that the show would be based on Castlevania III.

Those comments from Shankar line up very nicely with Seibert’s recent comments, with the Castlevania name still prominent in many gamer’s minds to this day.

Seibert’s comments were made on a Nickelodeon podcast, but given the nature of what Shankar is describing in regards to the show’s brutal violence, it likely will not be featured on the Nickelodeon channel. We look forward to hearing more about Seibert’s project as more information is released.
