Nintendo has Announced a Season Pass for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
This is a first for a Zelda title

Recently, we had some very interesting gaming news. According to the official webpage, Nintendo has announced a season pass for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This is a first for any The Legend of Zelda game, however, it somewhat makes sense. Large RPGs such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Fallout 4 received Season Passes for extra content. It really isn’t too surprising that Nintendo would follow this pattern. The pass will be $19.99 and will include the following content:

Pack 1 – Releasing Summer 2017

  • A new Cave of Trials challenge
  • Hard mode
  • A new feature for the in-game map

Pack 2 – Releasing Holiday 2017

  • A new dungeon
  • A new original story
  • Additional challenges

In addition, the Season Pass gives access to three chests in the main game. Two of these chests will contain “useful items” while the third has a shirt with the Nintendo Switch logo for Link to wear. While having to pay for additional content is never fun, it looks like a nice variety of extras are being added with this season pass. Gamers won’t be waiting much longer to play the game, as both The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and the Nintendo Switch console release on March 3.
