PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS has sold over 10 million copies

PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS
Player Unknown's Battlegrounds came to Early Access on Steam earlier this year

Yes, you read that correctly. Not even six months after its initial release via Early Access on Steam, PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS has sold over 10 million copies. This astounding figure has been confirmed on Twitter by Brendan Greene, Creative Director of the game.

This is incredible success, as this game appears to be breaking another million in sales on a regular basis at this point. Additionally, it recently was confirmed to have the highest peak player count of any non-Valve game on Steam. While there is no solid release date yet, PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS is coming to Xbox One sometime this holiday. Time will tell however, it certainly seems likely that this success will carry over to the Xbox version. With support from Microsoft in developing the port, this could be a showcase game for the Xbox One X.

If you’d like to learn more about the game however, here’s the official Steam page description:
PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS is a last-man-standing shooter being developed with community feedback. Starting with nothing, players must fight to locate weapons and supplies in a battle to be the lone survivor. This realistic, high tension game is set on a massive 8×8 km island with a level of detail that showcases Unreal Engine 4’s capabilities.
