PS4 exclusive Yakuza 0 has a release date for North America and Europe

The origins story of the 10 years old franchise will be ours to experience in a couple of months

A post on the official PlayStation Blog from Scott Strichart, the associate localization producer on the PlayStation 4 Yakuza 0, states that the game will be available on January 24th, 2017 in North America.  The game will be available on both physical and digital formats.

The game will be a prequel to all the games already released in the franchise and the protagonist will still be Kazuma Kiryu, but as a 20 year old young adult (which is quite a departure if we look at the images of the upcoming Yakuza 6).

It looks like we’ll be able to experience the Yakuza from the beginning before its conclusion (with the latest not yet having an official release date outside of Japan). Not being very familiar with this franchise I must say that I am really intrigued and can’t wait to see what it’s all about.
