Quantum Break coming to Steam and PC Retail…

Today (August 10th), Microsoft announced that Quantum Break would be coming to Steam and retail as of September 14th. That’s right you lucky people, Quantum Break is on its way to Steam, so add it to your wishlist now.

Quantum Break is currently available through the Windows Store and Xbox Store but its impending release on Steam will ensure it reaches a much greater audience, it also throws a spanner in the works of Tim Sweeney’s theory that Microsoft is going to try and oust Steam from the world of PC Gaming as we reported on a couple of weeks ago. If anything it shows an ever closer union between the 2 companies.

The digital download will include the latest version of the game with all updates included, and also from today Quantum Break: Timeless Collector’s Edition the Windows Store version will be available for just $39.99.

The retail version of Quantum Break: Timeless Collector’s Edition will include the following items:

  • Premium packaging
  • 5 Game Discs (one-time Steam key redemption required)
  • Making of Blu-Ray
  • Making of Book
  • 1 Soundtrack CD (Audio-CD)
  • 2 Posters
  • Quickstart Guide

Reinhard Pollice, the Business and Product Development Director for Nordic Games had this to say:

“After having worked with Remedy on the PC version of Alan Wake in 2012, and with Microsoft Studios on Ori and The Blind Forest: Definitive Edition (2016), and State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition (2016), we are proud to announce a new triangle-collaboration with two of our trusted partners…Apart from being a new IP (which is always a brave step), Quantum Break turned out to be a sophisticated, visually stunning shooter with a top-notch cast of actors.”

I’m looking forward to this game coming to Steam, are you? Let us know in the comments below or in the RGM Forums.
