ReCore Free Trial Launches Today

Great news coming from the team responsible for ReCore today, as gamers who were a bit hesitant to pick up the game can now play through a free trial and see whether or not it piques their interest.

This was what the official post from Joseph Staten, Senior Creative Director for ReCore said:

Hello Far Eden Explorers!

It’s been great to see so many people jumping into ReCore and having fun. Our sincerest thanks to everyone who’s been playing and sharing their enjoyment of ReCore on social media or with friends and family.

We’re excited to let you know that, starting today, anyone who hasn’t yet had the opportunity to play ReCore can now experience their first 30 minutes of the game in a free trial version on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs. Players will meet Joule, her Corebot companion Mack, and begin their adventure in the beautiful and mysterious world of Far Eden. If you decide to buy the full game afterwards, you can pick up right where you left off, as your progress (and Achievements) in the trial will be reflected in the full game.

Also, thanks to our great ReCore community, we’ve received a lot of helpful feedback on the game and will be releasing several key updates today. You can read about them here. We’re committed to making your ReCore experience even more enjoyable, so stay tuned to our social channels and ReCoreGame.com for future ReCore news.

Until then, happy adventuring in Far Eden!

The release of any free trial is always good news, as they’ve become increasingly rare with AAA games, and it represents a no-risk, hassle-free means of trying out a game without having to pay a dime. This is also a win for developers Armature and Comcept as they are sure to reach players that were previously indifferent or uninterested.

I haven’t gotten the chance to play ReCore yet, but I will definitely download the free trial and give it a shot. These kind of platformer/shooter/adventure game hybrids rarely come out to the mainstream gaming market, so I can’t wait to play it and see if the critical reception was as misplaced as it seems.

Are you going to try ReCore out for yourself? Do you wish there were more 3D non-Mario platformers? Let us know in the comments!
