Reggie talks about Nintendo’s plans – “We’re gonna have a BIG E3 this year”

It’s nearly upon us, the biggest gaming event on the calendar, E3 2017!

Whilst gamers across the globe are speculating what we might see during June 14-16, Reggie Fils-Aime has decided to speak up and give us a bit of insight into the direction that Nintendo intend to take the event, and apparently – it’s going to be big!

“E3 is always a big time for Nintendo. We look at each E3 as a unique opportunity to tell our story. And we’re gonna have a big E3 this year. We’re going to be showcasing a variety of games. We will have experiences for… consumers will be able to attend the show for the very first time. So I’m not gonna tell you all of the various games and all of our little secrets for E3, but I can tell you that E3 is going to be a major opportunity for us to showcase not only Nintendo Switch, but also content coming to Nintendo 3DS.”

So, from this brief statement, owners of the 3DS can rest assured that clearly Nintendo have no intention of phasing out the handheld device anytime in the immediate future.

The other refreshing confirmation is the strong focus on a “variety of games” which will be music in the ears of Switch owners who are currently having to pick from a rather sparse list of launch titles.

We will keep our ear to the ground and keep you updated as more information is revealed.
