It looks like the upcoming PS4 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider will unleash a ton of new additions to the game, included in the 20 Years Celebration Edition on the PlayStation side, and will be part of the Season Pass for the Xbox owners.
According to Rock Paper Shotgun, the upcoming DLC will include a 2 player online co-op option for the survival mode, “Endurance”. The other player will have the appearance of Nadia, but each player will see itself as Lara. A 22 minutes video has appeared online, from Ian Games Network, playing this mode and it can be enjoyed down below.
Details were unveiled about the upcoming new premium piece of DLC for the game called “Blood Ties”, and will have 2 major components. First, a new story mode will be introduced, where “Lara must explore the estate to find proof that she is the rightful heir or lose her birthright and father’s secrets for good”. Second, Lara’s mansion will be explored in a Nightmare mode during which we “must rid the Manor of an evil presence” : zombies!
There will also be an additional difficulty level called “Extreme Survivor”, where there are no checkpoints and you will only be able to save at bonfires.
It seems that the company is dedicated to make this game a worthy addition to any gamer’s collection, especially for those PS4 players that have been waiting a year to play this.
