It’s no big secret that Sony decided not to hold a media event at this years Gamescom in favor of hosting an event at Paris Games Week. Well it appears that Sony has finally confirmed dates for their PlayStation conference which takes place on October 27th at 9am PT/ 12pm ET/ 5pm GMT.
This marks the first year that Sony will be hosting a press conference at Paris Games Week and so far they have been tight-lipped as to what they will be showing. After missing Gamescom I’m sure fans are eager for some big announcements from Sony as to what their game plan is for the rest of 2015 heading into 2016.
With newly announced dates for Paris Games Week and dates announced for PlayStation Experience in December, Sony finds themselves in a unique position. They aren’t sharing a stage with their competition and the collective gaming community will have all eyes on them. Hopefully they can use this unique position to their advantage with strong announcements, especially in regards to their self-proclaimed “sparse” first party lineup.
