Kingdom Come: Deliverance has been in the news recently thanks to the depth of historical accuracy the game strives for which you can read more about in our story The World’s Most Historically Accurate Game.

The game itself is still currently in development, but the latest video released on Reddit this morning offers the 16th update for those looking forward to the title and a great insight into game development.

For many of us, it is frustrating when developers make promises that they fail to meet and this is usually exemplified by Kickstarter titles like Kingdom Come: Deliverance, but with this insight into just how the development of those goals affect the overall game it cushions the blow.

The developer diary style update does not only talk about what goals they did not meet, but also shows the advancement the game has made in development over the past few months. From a look into the coding of bug fixes, mocap performances, backer gifts, 3D rendering, and more the video gives fans a very in depth look into just how much goes into a game.

While the game is still a ways away it is refreshing to see such open communication between the developer and its future player base. It is rare to see such an open door policy during the development of games and this is a step that more fans of backing games financially would love to see.
