The Sea of Thieves Closed Beta goes live on January 24th

Sea of Thieves Closed Beta
What adventures await?

If you’ve been waiting eagerly to try out Sea of Thieves but haven’t gotten into the Closed Alpha, we’ve got some great news! Rare has confirmed today that the Sea of Thieves Closed Beta will begin on January 24th and run through January 29th.

Here’s the announcement which came via Twitter:

In order to get into the Closed Beta, you have to have either been in the Closed Alpha or pre-ordered the game (physically or digitally).

Unlike the Closed Alpha, which has been under a very strict NDA, players are not only allowed but encouraged to share content during the Closed Beta. Streaming, screenshots, information, it’s all okay to share. If you have any other questions regarding the Closed Beta, you can check Rare’s official FAQ here.

Sea of Thieves releases on Xbox One and Windows 10 (with Xbox Play Anywhere Support) on March 20th, 2018. If you’d like to learn more about the game, check out this video on Sea of Thieves’ progression system here.
