Total War: Warhammer II Mortal Empires release date announced

Total War: Warhammer II Mortal Empires
Dwarfs and Skaven and Greenskins, oh my!

Total War fans, we’ve got some great news to share. The release date for the Total War: Warhammer II Mortal Empires update has been announced and it’s right around the corner. It will be available to players everywhere on October 26th, 2017.

This announcement was made on Twitter:

That’s not all though, as the Blood for the Blood God DLC is currently aimed to release on the same date as Mortal Empires. If you already bought the Blood DLC for the first Total War: Warhammer, you won’t need to rebuy it.

Mortal Empires is a massive update that will join the worlds of both Total War: Warhammer games together. It will be playable through the menu of the second game and you don’t need the first installed however of course you do need to own it. All races and Legendary Lords will be available for a massive campaign of conquest although, the Norsca DLC factions will not be present at launch but will be added shortly afterwards. Once they are added, that will mean a total of 37 Legendary Lords to choose from, 117 factions and 295 settlements. Naturally, Mortal Empires carries over all of the content from the first game and will be updated with the new DLC, both paid and free, for the second title.

As a huge Total War: Warhammer fan, I’m eagerly looking forward to this update and the possibilities it brings. Hopefully the launch goes smoothly.
