So, I just watched this:

Konami have clearly spent a shed load of money (that is, a science hobbyist’s shed… i.e. BIG) on the Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater pachislot machine, and the advertising campaign has seemingly washed the open wound that is the Konami/Kojima fall out with disinfectant, used a suture to close it and bandaged it to prevent infection.
The whole thing is a work of art, quite frankly. However, much like modern art, there are going to be a lot of haters. I said I’d go to Japan just to play this, my husband said he’d sooner go to Japan just to burn it.
Whilst my principles definitely lie with supporting Kojima and boycotting Konami, it’s difficult to imagine being able to walk past one of these machines and not giving it a go. There’s no doubt it’s going to be a success, thanks to how awesome it is, and that’s really annoying.
Plus the whole 7:36 run time for the trailer; is that a bad joke?
I mean, it made me laugh, but I’m constantly being told how awful my sense of humour is.
