Ed Boon who is the Co-Creator of Mortal Kombat and Creative Director for NetherRealm Studios thought he would sneak a little bit of news out on Twitter today.
Anyone who is a fan of the Mortal Kombat franchise or Injustice will be extremely excited to hear that both have now been added to the list of games coming to Backwards Compatibility on the Xbox One.
The current instalment in the Mortal Kombat franchise, Mortal Kombat X is a lot of fun and certainly graphically beautiful but it’s just missing something that Mortal Kombat 9 had. I’m not sure if it’s the slight change in the mechanics, or the new variations in move combinations but it hasn’t really hit the mark for me the way that 9 did.
Injustice is another game that I have spent a ridiculous number of hours playing and really miss on the current gen console so to know that this will also be available to tie me over until the next instalment hits is awesome news.
