PS4 Exclusive – Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture

Developer The Chinese Room has confirmed the new title; Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture.

This will be released on August 11th 2015 specifically for the PlayStation 4. Studio Director Dan Pinchbeck who announced the release date also mentioned it has launched a dedicated website for the game that features exclusive images, music and writing not found anywhere else.

Dan Pinchback continued to say “We want to set the scene for this game, introduce you to characters and themes of the story,” he said, discussing the website.

“There’s going to be a lot more news about Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture coming out between now and launch, including a development diary which lifts the hood on how we got from the first ideas to this game we’ve poured heart and soul into over the last three years; another mini-documentary and lots more.”

The latest trailer shows us what to expect from this post-apocalyptic game that has taken a rather different spin on the normal style of end of the world games that we are used to. Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture is displayed with beautiful but slightly eerie graphics in a lovely looking country English town.

Players can build relationships with the six different characters who must explore the English town along with other places to attempt to solve what has happened.

The Chinese Room has joined up with SCE Santa Monica, and utilizes the CryEngine which really shines through the visually stunning trailers we have seen so far. We will continue to keep PS4 fans up to date with more information about this unique apocalyptic adventure as it unfolds.
