Rumor: Microsoft will launch Halo 5 and other Xbox Exclusives on PC – FALSE!

Microsoft will launch Halo 5 and other Xbox Exclusives on PC

Earlier today a story was published claiming that Microsoft will launch Halo 5 and other  Xbox exclusives on PC.

Apparently several ‘industry sources’ had provided leaked information advising that Xbox exclusives will now be released on PC as well.

Well I know one ‘industry source’ that I trust 100% and this morning he has advised that this is not the case, that it appears these persons have simply confused the ability to stream games from the Xbox One to PC as meaning that they will be released on PC as a standalone game.

We know that Microsoft are placing a focus on PC gaming especially more so now with the introduction of Windows 10 and the cross-play function, but the doesn’t mean by any stretch of the imagination that they are just gone to start releasing all their exclusives onto PC as well. As you can see from the enclosed tweet. So before we see a riot on Twitter and facebook from Xbox fanatics, don’t worry people, the sourced story was just short of the mark is all.

In the meanwhile, if you’d like to know more about the game, here’s the official description for Halo 5: Guardians:

Prepare for the next evolution of Halo combat. With an all-new Arena multiplayer mode and thrilling new campaigns, Halo 5: Guardians puts you on the trail to solve a mystery that threatens the entire galaxy.
