Sledgehammer’s Michael Condrey is on a mission to help sick children & their families

Think what you will of these larger companies and their ‘front men’ but Michael Condrey is setting a brilliant example which I only hope more people follow.

In an attempt to raise money to assist their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Michael and Sledgehammer Games have started up an Extra Life donations page where the funds will go to helping the hospital financially as they treat thousands of children every year regardless of the families’ ability to pay for the treatment. We are talking some very nasty stuff here too, like cancer and cystic fibrosis.

You can choose to help your local hospital too if you so wish or jump on board the Sledgehammer team and assist the hospital they have chosen. This is not a one-off event for Sledgehammer, they donate to various charities throughout the year and are consistent yearly with fundraising events such as this.

Dear Friends and Family,

I’m on a mission to save kids AND clean out my super awesome industry swag closet.  I need your help. My local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital treats thousands of children each year, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. These kids are facing scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries from accidents to name just a few.

Please consider joining me in in supporting Extra Life, a worldwide celebration of the social impact of gamers and a fund raiser to help children’s hospitals provide critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment, research and charitible care. Join our team or add a donation! All proceeds go to help kids, AND I’ll be picking random contributors to win some really great items like Advanced Warfare memorabilia, ASD packs, studio collectibles, and other cool industry items I’ve collected over the years in gaming.

Please make a safe, easy donation online today.  Click the “Support This Participant” button on this page to get started.  Thank you so much for helping making the world a little better for some of the kids in most need!

Best,

Michael

Below is a very heart warming ‘thank you’ video from the kids that have benefited from this cause. We all just need to help out a little sometimes don’t we? I believe we do.
