At last night’s Game Developers Choice Awards there an animated tribute was shown that honors the life and legacy of former Nintendo president and CEO Satoru Iwata. Mr. Iwata sadly passed away last year in July but there is no doubt that his presence will always be felt due to his contributions as one of the greatest figures in the gaming industry.
The animation was created by David Hellman artist on Braid and Raber Umpenour, with music by Shawne Benson and story by Wired’s Chris Kohler. You can view the touching animated short below that chronicles an amazing career and the contributions of Satoru Iwata.
