Capcom planning a “full-scale assault” on the remainder of financial year…

Well, it certainly looks like Capcom means business. The Japanese company have released a statement of intent for the remainder of the current financial year (ending Marxh 31st 2017). You could say they are making a…Capcom-back.

I’ll get me coat. But not before showing you what they were quoted as saying:

“In the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017, the Company is scheduled to release the strategic titles of “Sengoku BASARA: Sanada Yukimura-den” (for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3), which showcases the life of Sanada Yukiura, and “Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps” (for PlayStation 4 and PC) of the “Resident Evil” series, which marked its 20th anniversary in March 2016, as a warm up to the full-scale offensive planned for the second half of the year. Additionally, the Company is also scheduled to launch “Ace Attorney 6” (for the Nintendo 3DS system) and “Monster Hunter Stories” (for the Nintendo 3DS system).”

Ace Attorney 6 and is due out in Japan on June 6th on the 3DS. Sengoku Basara: Sanada Yukimura-den is also due out in Japan in September 2016 on the PlayStation 3 and 4. Resident Evil: Umbrella Corp is due out in North America and Europe on June 21st for PlayStation 4 and PC. Monster Hunter Stories for the 3DS is yet to be dated.

These titles are all well and good, but I can’t help but wonder if Capcom have anything else up their sleeves – any announcements from them at this years E3 could have the potential to be very interesting, especially when they describe Sengoku Basara: Sanada Yukimura-den and Umbrella Corps as “a warm up to the full-scale offensive planned for the second half of the year.” It would seem to point that they have something big potentially lined up…

You could say that they are planning to pop a Capcom in the competitions ass. Right that was just terrible…
