Battlefield 4’s Naval Strike DLC is Free Until July 26th

battlefield 4 naval strike dlc, expansion, free, downloadable content

To help get you hyped up for Battlefield 1 and the game’s upcoming Open Beta, Electronic Arts and DICE have announced the Naval Strike downloadable content (DLC) pack for Battlefield 4 is now available for free.

You can download the Naval Strike expansion gratis on Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Playstation 3, and Origin for PC until July 26th. The giveaway is part of the ongoing “Road to Battlefield 1” promotional campaign.

Some international players (Germany in particular) are currently experiencing issues downloading the content for free. It isn’t clear why, since the fine print doesn’t indicate any exclusions to the promotion. (Updated: A community manager with EA says they are working on resolving the issue).

The DLC includes four naval maps and the game mode “Carrier Assault.” It adds five new weapons (AR-160, SR-2, AWS, SR338, SW40), two new gadgets (M320 3GL, Anti-Aircraft Mine), and a new vehicle in the ACV hovercraft.

Carrier Assault is one of the best game modes in Battlefield 4. So don’t miss out! Plus, see how it could be implemented similarly in Battlefield 1 in the video below.
