Life is Strange Live-Action Series Announced

Square Enix have announced a partnership with Legendary Digital Studios to develop a live-action digital series based on the critically acclaimed title, Life is Strange.

Life is Strange follows the adventures and tribulations of teen photography student, Max Caulfield, who suddenly discovers she has the ability to manipulate time. Set in the darkly atmospheric Arcadia Bay, the player controls Max as she attempts to save her best pal and investigate a sinister mystery that involves the disappearance of several local townspeople.

The game received many awards and accolades and positively resonated with players and reviewers alike who praised it’s twisting story and relatable characters.

Life Is Strange is one of those rare properties that combines incredibly developed characters and storylines with deeply engaging gameplay,” said Legendary’s Greg Siegel during today’s announcement. “It lends itself perfectly to live-action imaginings. We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Square Enix, Dontnod Entertainment and dj2 to bring the world of Arcadia Bay to life in an exciting new way.”

No extra details were offered on the project so we can only speculate on when we’ll see the series or who will play any of the characters. In celebration, a new trailer has been released showcasing Max and Chloe on their adventures. Check it out below!
