That’s right penny pinchers (of which I am one), Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is available for free through Ubisoft’s Uplay platform on PC to celebrate Ubisoft’s 30th Anniversary.
For those who don’t know, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is described on official website as:
“Released in 2003 on Playstation 2, Xbox, Gamecube and PC, this critically acclaimed game is a marvelous journey into the Arabian Nights and a formidable action adventure game. This game is specific for us as it proved we were able to reboot such mythical franchise as this one with a great dedication on innovation and quality. Indeed, The Montreal studio came with a great gameplay innovation: controlling time. It enables not only to create great level design but also to provide more comfort for the players. In addition, the controls and the animation of the Prince was really amazing. 13 years after, it remains a very enjoyable game that has aged very well.”
Part of Ubi 30, Ubisoft are giving away 7 games until the end of the year with Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time being the first (for June) and is not available for very much longer, but keep an eye out for what will be available for July.
So, getting a free game is never a bad thing – will you be looking into getting Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time while you can? What are your memories of the game itself? Whatever you think about it, let us know in the comments below or in the RGM Forums.
