Red Dead Redemption: Xbox One vs 360 Comparisons

So the good people at Digital Foundry did what they do best, and created a comparison video already for Red Dead Redemption to see how it plays on the Xbox One compared to it’s original release on the Xbox 360.

I’ll just go ahead and assume you’ve watched the video above already, so I’ll give you my 2 Cents before you lovely people feel like you can chip in as well. Basically, for me, apart from the cut-scenes and busier areas like Armadillo where there is a lack of screen tearing and smoother “camera” movements, and there being prettier skies and better lighting (dynamic lighting and better shadows)…I can’t see too much of a difference.

Maybe I’m not looking properly, maybe I am, but when you watch the side-by-side comparison, I can’t get too excited. I can certainly understand those who got rid of their 360 in favour of an Xbox One getting excited about playing Red Dead Redemption again, but then you could do that 6 years ago when it first came out without having paid out however many hundreds of Pounds or Dollars getting a new console…

Agree or disagree – it’s up to you, but what are your thoughts on this side-by-side comparison? What are your thoughts on Red Dead Redemption being given the Backward Compatible treatment for Xbox One? Tell us now in the comments below or in the RGM Forums.
