Bethesda revealed a glorious new gameplay trailer for Prey

Bethesda revealed Prey at their E3 2016 press conference to much fanfare and hype after the game had been in something of a development hell for many years.

Today at QuakeCon 2016 Bethesda and Arkane Studios revealed a new and dare I say beautiful gameplay trailer for the upcoming title. The trailer opens with a narration by a character named Morgan in the year 2034. He is recounting a dark dream he keeps having before revealing the gorgeous environments and first-person gameplay that we can expect when the game releases.

Prey was one of my favorite games when it released on the Xbox 360 back in 2006 and I am beyond excited to see that the franchise is returning and in what appears to be glorious fashion. It’s important to also note that Arkane Studios wants fans to know that Prey is not a sequel or reboot of the original, but a re-imaging. If the trailer below is any indication of the direction the studio is taking the IP then I am all in.

Prey is scheduled to release in 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
