MMORPG Dragon Quest X is also coming to NX

Development is done at the same time as the PS4 version

It was confirmed in the past that a PlayStation 4 version of the popular MMORPG Dragon Quest X, already out in Japan for Wii – WiiU – PC – Android – 3DS, was coming.

A story in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu, and originally reported by Dualshockers, states that a Nintendo NX version of the game is also in development alongside the PS4 version. This was also confirmed by the games producer Yosuke Saito and director Chikara Saito. No specific date was announced yet however.

Since its launch, Dragon Quest X has evolved up to version 3.3 and to have a glimpse of what this game looks like, here is a Japanese trailer from the launch of version 3.1, available for PC, WiiU and 3DS.

With the NX getting a high profile MMORPG like Dragon Quest, it looks like Nintendo is working hard to shore up third party support for the rumored home-portable hybrid console. I’m curious to see what the reception will be when Dragon Quest X releases.

Are you planning to get this game? Will the NX version be an important factor?  Let us know what you think in the comments and forums.
