You heard right, the immersive PC Strategy game, ROME: Total War, originally released in 2004, which I seem to remember being so intensive, not many PC’s at the time were able to play it well…is coming to the iPad. If you have 37 seconds spare, use them to watch the announcement trailer below.
For me, this is as big a sign of how far we’ve come in recent years as far as computing power goes, that a game that was as heavy-hitting from a computing power perspective as ROME: Total War was on the PC just 12 years ago, will now be playable at your fingertips whilst sitting on the train or on the porcelain throne, and to be fair, it’s not a trimmed down version – as the trailer states, you’re getting the full experience, and it’ll be interesting to see how it will fare on the iPad.
