After releasing it’s new Gears of War 4 trailer, Microsoft have released a new trailer for its upcoming, exclusive open world racer for Xbox One and Windows 10, Forza Horizon 3, and man does it look good.

Since Burnout Paradise was my last favourite racing game to release (and that was a while ago now), I have been rather eager for another racer to grab my attention. I have played Forza 5 a little bit and Forza 6 sits ashamedly atop my pile of shame, but they haven’t garnered my attention in any real way (there’s always something else to play right?).
Forza Horizon 3 certainly seems to look like it’s going to deliver; a massive environment to play in (set in the gorgeous looking Australia), fun events and races, and plenty of distractions and collectibles to boot. The premise remains the same, the Horizon festival has set up shop in a new locale and is looking for the very best racers to claim the bounty, and make a name for themselves (whatever happened to those who won Horizon 1 and 2 festivals i.e. me/you *cough cough). There’s a wide array of vehicles to enjoy and play about with, if you aren’t too distracted by that scenery.
Forza Horizon 3 launches September 27th globally. It is available on Xbox One and Windows 10 and is part of the Microsoft ‘Play Anywhere’ scheme; purchase a copy on either format digitally and you will automatically get a copy on the other format, carrying your saves, unlocks and achievements across to whichever format you are playing (using the same gamertag/sign-in).
Microsoft are lining up the exclusives as it heads towards the festive season with new franchise ReCore (check our review out here) releasing to positive responses and Gears of War 4 getting a lot of buzz about it (and rightly so, it would seem). It’s fair to say Microsoft really want their Xbox gaming service to be the place to play.
