Gears of War 4 is Now Available to Pre-Load for Xbox One

Available to pre-load on Windows 'soon'

We all know Gears of War 4 is coming, we’d need to be living in an old abandoned Locust tunnel to not know this by now. But the good news is, you can now notch up your waiting a level as Gears of War 4 is now available to pre-load onto your Xbox One, even though it’s just under two weeks away.

Depending on your internet connection, you may need it, as the file sizes have been revealed and the Xbox One version of Gears of War 4 clocks in at 54.6GB and the Windows version a massive 80GB, according to DigitalSpy.

My Day One edition Xbox One is starting to groan at the installing and uninstalling I need to do to keep playing all of the games I want to play. I need to invest in a new HDD or an Xbox One S with some increased memory, and that limited Gears of War 4 Xbox One S is certainly tempting (2TB hard drive to boot).

Gears of War 4 launches on Xbox One and Windows on October 11th, unless you get the ‘Ultimate Edition’ which grants you four days early access. It is available as part of the ‘Play Anywhere’ program (buy digitally on one format and access it on the other for free). Whilst we wait, and in case you haven’t seen it, here’s the launch trailer to feast your eyes on.

The Coalition, developers for Gears 4, recently released a 22 minute video of a prologue to the upcoming game. Check it out here.

Have you pre-loaded already? Did you have to uninstall something to do it. Let us know in the comments below or on the RGM Forums.
