GTA 5 Redux – Now Available for Download

Unofficial modders with a passion to improve Grand Theft Auto 5 confirm that the highly anticipated mod is available to download now.

One of the biggest pulls for PC gaming is that of the modding community; opportunities to create, change and improve some much beloved titles into different beasts, with great stories to tell (Thomas the Tank Engine in Skyrim anyone?). So it is with great anticipation that a new mod, with a lot of buzz about it has released.

GTA 5 Redux is certainly an impressive sounding mod. Promising graphical and environmental overhauls to much of the Los Santos scenery and the inclusion of real life advertising (including adverts on taxis). It sounds like Grand Theft Auto 5 is about to get much closer to reality.

Initially planned to release on September 16th, 2016, the developers encountered errors on the site, delaying the launch. Posting on the GTA 5 Redux site, Josh Romito apologised for the delays to the mod’s launch:

“I personally would like to apologise to anyone who came to the site on September 16th, and experienced a broken page. We had some un-expected errors when launch day came, regarding a new server upgrade. Good new is, everything is back up and running now! I hope you all enjoy Redux when you get your hand on it! It was a pleasure to develop!”

The GTA 5 Redux mod is available to download from the GTA 5 Redux website weighing in at around 3.4GB,

Have you added GTA 5 Redux to your Los Santos? What do you think so far? Has it vastly improved the game and was the wait worth it? Let us know what you think in the comments below or in the RGM Forums.
