It’s Time to Kick Ass and Chew Bubblegum Again! Duke Nukem’s Next Game Announced

Following news reported last week detailing the appearance of a cryptic Duke Nukem countdown clock, time has run out and the moment has come for Mr. Nukem to step back into the gaming spotlight. During a panel at PAX this weekend, Gearbox have unveiled Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour which will launch on Xbox One, PS4 and PC October 11th. They released a fantastic new trailer to celebrate the announcement which you can a look at below.

While it is basically a remaster of the classic Duke Nukem 3D from 1996, the new title will be fully playable in it’s original pixelated form or in HD “True 3D”, with the ability to swap between both on the fly! The best news is that a brand new, eight level episode created by the original designers is being added to the game. Additionally, an all-new musical score is being written by Lee Jackson, composer on the original Nukem game. As an extra cool bonus, Gearbox even got Jon St. John, who voiced Duke back in 1996 to provide new “Duke Talk” for the 20th Anniversary.

Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour will release on October 11th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Visit the Duke homepage for more info.
