Nintendo have recently revealed the next set of version exclusives that are coming to Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon when the game releases in November.
Since the first versions of the game, released back in 1996, it has been a staple feature that there are some pocket monsters that are only available in one version or the other, encouraging people to seek out Pokémon trainers who own the other version so that they can ‘catch them all’ via trading.
Posting a new video onto their website and their official Pokémon channel on YouTube, the details of two new exclusive ape-type creatures have been detailed as well as two differing evolutions (one per version) of another hound-type Pokémon.
Passimian, a Fighting type, comes to Pokémon Sun whilst Oranguru, a Normal/Psychic type comes to Pokémon Moon.
Rockroff a rock type Pokémon evolves into Lycanroc and Pokémon Sun will receive the ‘midday form’ evolution and Pokémon Moon will get the ‘midnight form’ evolution.
Two new exclusive ‘Z-Moves’ are also shown for Pikachu and Eevee (see if you can guess which move belongs to which ‘mon). “Catastropika” looks like a devastating electric surge of power whilst Extreme Evoboost looks to boost all the stats of Eevee by harnessing the power of the innate Eevee evolutions (it looks like an Ocarina of Time moment).
The video, which can be seen below, also details some of the new features coming to the games. Pokémon Refresh, is a mode where trainers can groom their Pokémon in order to boost their aesthetics and well-being through pampering and treatment. Trainers also get some new flare with a look at the new outfits, clothing and hairstyles that can be adopted to increase your unique look in the world of Pokémon.
Pokémon Sun and Moon release on November 18th in the U.S and November 23rd in the U.K and Europe.
