Final Fantasy XV to receive multiplayer DLC

Paris Games Week is rolling along at the moment and Square Enix have taken the opportunity to drop some intriguing details regarding the soon-to-release, latest installment in the Final Fantasy saga, Final Fantasy XV. The biggest announcement is that the game has gone gold which is a good sign that there will be no additional delays and we will join Noctis and friends fighting fearsome foes as planned on November 29th.

Perhaps the most interesting news, however, concerns post-launch content, the last of which will include the option to adventure in online four player co-op! Few additional details were provided concerning the proposed multiplayer mode outside of it’s title – Comrades. It’s an exciting prospect! Final Fantasy has traditionally been a single player experience so the ability to fight alongside three “comrades” will definitely move the series onto a different level.

More information was also disclosed about the rest of the DLC that will be available including three story episodes focusing on each of Noctis’ core friends. All content will bundled into the season pass available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Last but not least, a stunning CG trailer was posted titled “Omen”, a “beautiful yet violent vision inspired by the world and story of Final Fantasy XV“. You can check it out below:
