Pokémon Go: Earn more candies just in time for Halloween!

Although the initial hype has worn off a bit, Nintendo wants to make sure that players don’t forget Pokémon Go this Halloween. Starting October 26th and lasting until November 1st, Pokémon Go will increase all the candy that a player earns while walking their Pokémon partner and the candy earned on transfers to Professor Oak. Transferring Pokémon will net you two candies instead of one, every Pokémon you catch gives you six candies instead of three, and the partner Pokémon will earn candies four times faster than usual. They even double the amount of candies you get from hatched eggs! Nintendo is certainly giving plenty of reasons to go trick-or-treating this Halloween.

There will also be an increase in appearances of the more scary Pokémon, such as:

  • Zubat
  • Golbat
  • Gastly
  • Haunter
  • Gengar
  • Drowzee

  • Hypno

This sure is an awfully tempting opportunity to help players progress with their Pokédex throughout this next week. Regardless of your plans on Halloween or any time starting Wednesday the 26th, be sure to consider opening up Pokémon Go, as there could be some quality rewards for you (if you wish to take advantage of this special event).
