It appears that Martin Scorsese’s new movie Silence may be more of a must-see film than originally anticipated. While talking with Pete Hammond at Deadline.com, the long-time Scorsese film producer Irwin Wrinkler stated his feelings on their newest collaboration:
“This is Marty’s best movie.”
Coming from the producer of other Scorsese classics like Raging Bull and Goodfellas, this is certainly high praise from a credible source. Sure, Silence may be a movie he’s producing, so of course he’s not going to HATE it, but stating that its the classic filmmaker’s best work is a tremendous seal of approval for the film.
Silence is currently in post-production and is aiming for limited release on December 23rd, with a wide release in January as a means to start their campaign for the Academy Awards. 
Silence stars Liam Neeson, Andrew Garfield, Adam Driver and is directed by Martin Scorsese.
